The third Jule-lad to come down amongst people is Stúfur who arrives on the morning of the 14th.
He is the shortest of the lot.

He has the habit of stealing frying pans from the kitchen stove to eat the burned leftovers from the bottom.

These mischievous brothers weren’t quite as welcome back in the days as they are now. As lately they have taken up the habits of their international counterpart Santa Claus.

In fact, the Icelandic folklore tells a tale of a grim troll mother Grýla. She snatches bad children to eat them and invite her husband Leppalúði who is described as rather lazy and un-notorious.
