Enjoy the beauty of the nature in East Iceland, see the stunning Stuðlagil canyon, and learn about Icelandic culture, nature, and history.
In the last few years, Stuðlagil has become the most popular site in East Iceland due to the magnificent basalt columns surrounding it. What was once a hidden site, known only to the locals, was revealed in all its beauty after the large hydroelectric dam at Kárahnjúkar was built and blocked the glacier river from entering the canyon for most of the year.
The mode of transport is a 4×4 Super-Jeep with a capacity for 4-10 passengers. And with the travel style of slow travel, the experiences and connections to the area become as strong as it can be.
